Private Dining in NYC at Avra 33rd & Ninth
Avra 33rd & Ninth offers Greek seafood and Mediterranean hospitality in a private event space in NYC built for gatherings that matter. On the corner of 33rd Street and Ninth Avenue, between Hudson Yards and Chelsea, the restaurant holds six distinct spaces, from a single table of twenty to a reception of a hundred.
What decides an evening here is what reaches the table. Whole fish selected at the display, mezze built for sharing, and a floor team that runs private events as a discipline of its own.
PDR 1 & PDR 2.
Each private dining room seats up to 20 guests at one long table, which suits executive dinners, celebrations and occasions where everyone should be able to hear each other.
PDR 3.
A larger private dining room seating up to 50 guests for a seated dinner.
PDR 1, 2 & 3 combined.
The three rooms open into one another for seated events of up to 90 guests.
Semi-Private Door Room.
Up to 50 guests, with a space of its own and the energy of the main dining room alongside it.
Lounge.
Receptions, seated dinners and social gatherings for 80 to 100 guests, in a setting made to be lingered in.
Outdoor Patio.
An open-air setting for cocktails, dining or mingling under the stars, weather permitting.
Corporate Events and Celebrations
Hudson Yards, Penn Station and the Javits Center are a short walk away, so guests arrive without crossing town, and the private dining rooms close properly for conversations meant to stay in the room. It is one of the few corporate event venues in NYC where the location does the work before the evening starts. The same rooms handle rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays and holiday parties without feeling like a function space borrowed for the night.
